A Presentation by Adrian Bogart
On September 30, 2023, Adrian Bogart, the 76th President of the Holland Society of New York and the Presiding Director General of the New York Quadricentennial Committee hosted a presentation explaining the mission and vision of the New York Quadricentennial Committee, an organization dedicated to enhancing and informing public understanding of crucial historical events that unfolded in the years 1624, 1625, and 1626. Director Bogart explored the roles played by various groups, including the original indigenous people, early Dutch, French, and other European settlers, as well as those indentured or enslaved during that pivotal period in history. The vision is to commemorate the unity established 400 years ago, marking the birth of New York, by those who can trace their lineage to the original descendants of the first Multicultural City in North America.
